Dr. Fortu Benarroch is a senior child and adolescent psychiatrist, specializing in immediate intervention and comprehensive psychological treatment for children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. Dr. Benarroch is currently the Clinical Director of the Center for Pediatric Post-Trauma Stress at Hadassah University Medical Center, which has earned an international reputation for outstanding healing, teaching and research in the critical field of child and adolescent mental health.

About Efrat

CEO of NATAL since July 2020. Efrat has extensive experience in leading processes for social change, managing third sector organizations, inter-sectoral collaborations, project development and resource mobilization. Efrat began her professional career as a lawyer in the field of commercial law and investment. She holds a bachelor's degree in law with honors and a degree in business administration with honors from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, as well as a master's degree in law from Tel Aviv University.

Since the establishment of NATAL in 1998 by Yehudit Yovel Recanati, the organization has touched on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and is recognized as an expert organization in the field of war and terrorism in terms of trauma and providing assistance to promote the emotional strength of Israeli society through treatment, prevention, public awareness and research.

About Amnon

Amnon served 25 years as a career officer in the IDF and during his service he graduated from Tel Aviv University in in Economics and History of the Middle East. After his retirement Amnon began a career in the business sector in the fields of international marketing and business development. Later, Amnon switched to the NGO sector where he worked in public affairs and resource development. Amnon retired in 2012 and dedicates most of his time to volunteering in the NGO sector.

Miriam Shapira

About Miriam

Miriam Shapira is a clinical psychologist, group facilitator and consultant to educational and community agencies. She teaches and supervises professionals, Rabbis and community leaders in the field of trauma, loss and bereavement. Treating for many years individuals and families in grief, continous threat of terror, or uprooting. Miriam is the Founder, member and first chairperson of Besod Siach, association for promoting dialogue amongst groups in conflict; Member of Ofek, Israel, association for learning Group Relations in organisations and society.

Mahut Israel, the Center for Emergency Preparedeness and Building Resilience, is an association of multi-discipline professionals who work together to develop resilience on a personal, group, community and institutional level, through intervening circles of community, identity and coping skills.
