ITC update: Operation Iron Swords

Day 45
Monday 20.11.23

The IDF announced the deaths of three more soldiers this morning, bringing the death toll in the ground offensive against Hamas to 66.

IDF recovered the body of Yehudit Weiss, a 65-year-old mother of five kidnapped by Hamas and the body of 19-year-old Cpl. Noa Marciano, another hostage, whose death it announced last week.

Death toll from Nova music festival massacre raised to over 360. The number is nearly one-third of approximately 1,200 people killed during the terrorist massacres.

Family members of the hostages completed their march from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, with the aim to keep the focus on the hostages and pressure the government to prioritize their safe return. Throughout their march the families were joined by thousands of supporters in a large procession at the side of the Route 1 highway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

There is mounting speculation over an arrangement that will see the release of around 52 hostages: children, their mothers as well as possibly the sick and elderly held captive inside Gaza.

Northern Front: Monday afternoon 25 rockets and three suicide drones were launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon at multiple locations along the border. Earlier warning sirens in Shlomi near the border were the result of 10 mortar shells being fired at the town. The IDF reported that they landed in open areas.

Southern Front: Sirens sound in Erez, Yad Mordechai and Netiv Ha’asara near the border
