Following the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15th, 2013, the Israel Trauma Coalition sent a delegation of experts to the suburb of Watertown, MA to help develop a "recovery process" for the local school system and to offer psychological first aid and resilience training to local mental health professionals. In coordination with the Boston Jewish federation, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, who sponsored the delegation, the ITC team was able to lend its expertise to local social workers and first responders as well as to the staff from the Beth Israel Hospital where the bombing suspect was treated.
